This website comprises a collection of client side programming examples ranging from fully functional applications to categorised code snippets. Some html code is extracted out as javaScript variables but code that’s key to functionality is embedded within each page, The CSS and javaScript is for the most part embedded within the pages, where it’s not the path to the CSS or JS file is identified in the more information section of the page. The databases on this site are all based on text files containing multi-dimensional arrays.
Most of the pages on this site are of a minimalist design. I've added a few aesthetics where I felt they were appropriate and where they don't divert too much attention from the page's key function or message. Many of the examples on this
As for the site name: Arkadyevna is the patronymic of the eponymous character from Lev Tolstoy’s novel Anna Karenina. I don’t remember why I chose this when I registered the domain name, maybe I was reading the book at the time. Famous quotation from the book - “All happy families are alike; each unhappy family is unhappy in its own way”.
The cat silhouette that makes her way onto most of the pages has no real relevance, she's just a water mark type device to add some visual consistency to the pages.
