Mouse Over Caption Effects

In this example I've used CSS to create four mouse over caption display effects. I could have achieved the same or similar effects using javaScript, however, where possible CSS should be preferred to javaScript for animations and transition effects. You can trigger CSS animation using javaScript, if I can think of a useful demonstration of this I'll create a page and link it here.

The text on the left is just a simple example of a static css transform, each character and it's container are rotated 3^o counter clockwise or 3^o clockwise alternately.
