This is a customised video player created using javaScript and CSS. The volume and progress bars were created using jQuery and the jQuery UI library and styled using CSS. The video is from a Royal Ballet performance of Swan Lake and features Zenaida Yanowsky performing as the black swan.
Creating a customised video player is a lot of r=effort when the standard HTML5 video presentation is adequate for most applications but if you need to create something specific to your site or page style this is a good start.
